Thursday

Today the weather didn't look very promising for working out of doors. It is rainy and quite cool with a forecast of showers and possible thunderstorms all day. With that in mind, the group working on the playground decided to take this day for sight-seeing and make tomorrow a work day at the playground. The forecast for tomorrow looks much better. The Pauly's will be leaving today but the Sieglaff's will be able to take their place tomorrow on the playground crew as the computer tutoring was being offered Mon.-Thurs. figuring on a day to wander. Neal and Ellen decided to go to the college center today anyway. We had said we would be there. Their plans are to sight-see after we are through on the Rez.

So far the morning has not seen any activity in the computer center but a project from yesterday was completed. We also have not seen the rain that was forecast, but it remains misty and I am sure very muddy.

By noon the rain came in earnest and it rained the rest of the day. Hopefully it will not be too wet at the playground tomorrow to do what needs to be done yet. The folks that went sight-seeing didn't have much rain throughout the day. They hit the rain when they got closer to Pine Ridge. It was a good call to do the sight-seeing today.

Neal and Ellen spent some time this afternoon getting to know Elaine Gibbons better. She is a pre-med student as well as being the director of the college center. We learned more about her family, which was very interesting and sometimes amusing.
